Kent Harrison Ranger Station Residency, Harrison Hot Springs, BC
Soft Truths is a collection of painted works with textiles that explore the landscape and our relationship to it without using geographical features that would traditionally be found in a landscape picture. Each image records the surface colour of the lake through the Spring on multiple days and is accompanied by embroidered texts drawn from community conversations.  They speak about place in a way that is flexible, malleable, sometimes emotional and always open to interpretation.
